Expectations vs reality

I’m assuming, like most people, you’ve had some experience with either mail order or ordering online. I’m also assuming you have also experienced ordering something and when you receive it it’s not quite what you expected?

How often is that our experience of life? Think about it. Maybe you plan for something and it doesn’t work out that way? Planned a trip and something didn’t go as you expected? Planned a meal and then something went wrong? You forgot a key ingredient and then had to improvise?

Think about this in other aspects of life. Think about right now - your health, your physique, how you feel about yourself… is this the result of a plan? We know things don’t always go to plan, but having a plan for what we are trying to achieve can really help keep us on track - even if we have to make adjustments and corrections along the way.

What is it that you’re trying to achieve? If we just expect that we are going to get to that point without either putting an plan in place or doing the work (or both) then our expectations are never going to be the same as reality. But, by taking time to plan things out and then acting upon that plan we can expect the results that we have planned and worked for.

So, again, what is it that you’re trying to achieve? Think about it, and start to put a plan in place to achieve it then your expectations and reality are very likely to be in alignment.

Have an awesome day!
